Announcing the EA Summit: Brussels (Feb 7, 2026)
• Last updated on

We have exciting news to share! EA Belgium is organizing the Effective Altruism Summit: Brussels on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Flagey.

This one-day conference brings together professionals from a wide range of backgrounds to explore how their skills and experience can contribute to addressing some of the world’s most pressing challenges. The summit will combine engaging talks, interactive sessions, and plenty of time for meaningful conversations and networking.

The core question driving the summit is: with limited resources, where can our efforts achieve the greatest good? We will be exploring evidence-based approaches to critical topics such as AI safety, global health and pandemic preparedness, animal welfare, and catastrophic risk reduction.

Who should attend?

The summit is primarily designed for mid-career and senior professionals, especially those who are new to or unfamiliar with effective altruism. No prior knowledge of EA is required — the programme is designed to be accessible and introductory, while still engaging and substantive.

We also welcome a more limited number of participants who already have experience engaging with effective altruism or working in EA-aligned organisations or cause areas. Their presence helps enrich discussions and support newer participants throughout the day.

Apply to attend

If you’re interested in joining, we invite you to apply via the summit website. We’ll be in touch with applicants with next steps and practical details in the coming weeks.

We look forward to seeing you there for a day of impactful discussion and connection!
