Announcing the EA Summit: Brussels (Feb 7, 2026)
We have exciting news to share! EA Belgium is organizing the Effective Altruism Summit: Brussels on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Flagey.
This one-day conference is a dedicated opportunity to bring together professionals working in or around policy and international organizations to explore how Europe can more effectively address pressing global challenges. The event is designed to foster crucial exchanges on high-impact areas, combining insightful talks, interactive discussions, and valuable networking.
The core question driving the summit is: with limited resources, where can our efforts achieve the greatest good? We will be exploring evidence-based approaches to critical topics such as AI safety, global health and pandemic preparedness, animal welfare, and catastrophic risk reduction.
Who should attend?
We're particularly interested in people with professional experience working in or around policy, law, research, or international affairs. Whether you’re part of an EU institution, a think tank, a consultancy, or an NGO, you’ll find opportunities to exchange ideas with others who care deeply about solving the world’s most pressing problems. The event is catered towards people new to or unfamiliar with effective altruism, so no prior knowledge is required.
In order to best support this newer audience, we’d also like to invite those with professional policy experience who are already working in established EA organisations or causes. We will be directly reaching out to many such organisations and individuals, but if you’d like to lend your expertise as a speaker or mentor, please contact us directly at summit@eabrussels.org.
