Recommended charities
Effective giving is about making sure our donations do as much good as possible. Instead of spreading resources thinly, we focus on organisations that have been shown to create outsized impact on pressing global problems.
While EA Belgium does not conduct its own charity evaluations, we rely on the rigorous research of trusted organisations such as GiveWell, Animal Charity Evaluators, Giving Green, and Giving What We Can. In addition, we have included several other charities, some of them Belgian, that we believe to be promising based on their focus on important causes, a strong track record of transparency and impact, or close alignment with the work of already well-evaluated charities.
Some of these charities are tax deductible in Belgium, others are not. In all cases, you’ll find clear step-by-step instructions on how to donate by clicking through to each charity’s dedicated page.
