How does it work?

Malaria Consortium is an effective charity operating outside of Belgium. This means that, by default, donations to this charity are not tax deductible in Belgium.

However, thanks to the Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) scheme, it is possible to do cross-border donations to this charity, while also benefiting from the tax benefits of your donation In Belgium, this is done through the King Baudouin Foundation (KBS/FRB). The downside of this approach, is that TGE takes a 5% fee on your donation. However, given the 45% tax deduction available for Belgian donors, the overall benefit still makes it a highly worthwhile option.

The King Baudouin Foundation will send you a tax statement each February detailing the total amount of your donation from the previous year. By default, the certificate will be sent to your residential address as it appears in the national register.

For further information, please contact the King Baudouin Foundation at tge@kbs-frb.be or check out this page.

If you prefer, you can also donate directly to Malaria Consortium through their website (without the tax deduction).
